Origin
Two versions of the same sector.
AMPO grew from Amy Pokela’s firsthand experience with the uneven realities of nonprofit work. Two missions, one pursued in a small community-based organization and one inside a large national system, come with very different tools, budgets, and support.
AMPO exists to close that distance. The strategy, systems, and confidence that larger organizations often have access to are built here into practical tools for nonprofits carrying meaningful work with real capacity constraints.

Founder.
Amy Pokela, CFRE, is the founder of AMPO Nonprofit Solutions. She brings more than 20 years of experience across community-based nonprofits and complex mission-driven organizations. Her work includes executive leadership, fundraising strategy across 24 states, development infrastructure, organizational change, and university-level instruction in fundraising and nonprofit leadership. Her perspective is shaped by both resource-constrained local work and larger-scale systems with stronger tools and support. Through AMPO, Amy helps nonprofit leaders turn community ambition into clear decisions, practical systems, and measurable progress.
